Herb & Cheddar Bread
Baked with lots of real cheddar cheese, this Ste. Anne's Bakery cheesy bread makes for a great appetizer or a perfect side for a steaming bowl of homemade soup.
Ingredients: Whole milk, brown rice flour, medium cheddar cheese, egg, corn starch, tapioca starch, sorghum flour, unsalted butter, chia seeds, skim milk powder, cane sugar, xanthan gum, Italian herb seasoning, yeast, kosher salt, agar agar.
Instructions: Our breads contain no preservatives and have a shelf life of 5 days. Freeze bread to preserve freshness for up to 6 months. To thaw we suggest toasting bread, or simpy bringing to room temperature.
Please note: To guarantee freshness, all freshly baked goods are shipped Monday through Wednesday. Baked goods ordered after 6:00pm Wednesday-Sunday will be shipped on the following Monday.
Sandwiches are saved!
It's still not the healthiest food (as no GF product can hold up to good whole grain bread for nutrition content) but it's quite yummy for all manner of sandwiches. In fact, my dad (also a celiac, thanks dad) won't use it for sandwiches because he thinks it's so tasty by itself. It's also got a good consistency and doesn't crumble or fall apart as many GF breads do.
